Spider-Man: One More Day

For over 40 years, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN's publishing history has been one of consistency and quality. Always at the center of the Spider-Man universe, the Webslinger's original title has found itself supplemented over the years by a bevy of other Spidey books, all vying for fans' attention--but no more.

Marvel Comics says "less is more" and will prove it: come Fall, there will be no more SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN or FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN or any other ongoing mainstream Marvel U. Wallcrawler outlet. There will be only AMAZING SPIDER-MAN...and it will be published three times a month starting in November! Welcome, to a Brand New Day!

The biggest event in Spider-Man's history begins this September in One More Day, as Peter Parker must confront the greatest challenge of his life! To celebrate this groundbreaking story, kicking off in the can't-miss Amazing Spider-Man #544, all four chapters of One More Day feature gorgeous variant covers by the red-hot Marko Djurdevic. Each cover features a haunting image of this story's central players, including a top secret fourth cover that will leave fans' jaws on the floor! That's right, not only is each issue packed to the gills with bonus material, but now you can choose from covers by Djurdevic and Marvel Comic Editor-In-Chief (and One More Day artist) Joe Quesada!

One More Day finds Peter Parker in his darkest hour, with the stakes higher than ever before and those closest to him about to disappear forever. What roles do guest-stars Doctor Strange and Iron Man play? When all is said and done, this will be even more controversial, more shocking than Spider-Man's unmasking! Marvel urges retailers to check their orders for this powerful storyline that sets the stage for an all new chapter in the life of Spider-Man and the star-studded Brand New Day, as Amazing Spider-Man begins shipping three times per month!

What would you do if you only had one more day? That's a question Peter Parker answers this fall…and the Marvel Universe will never be the same again!

To me The Amazing Spider-Man collection has always been the only valid Spider-Man magazine. All the other ones are nothing more than poor attempts at marketing the web-slinger and get more money from the fans.

Granted ASM has had a run of poor stories in the past (specially in the 90's) but the latest stories have more than made up for those.

I welcome this move by Marvel Comics
