The Sadhu

The Sadhu is a comic book series based on the eponymous character of the same name. The Sadhu was created by Gotham Chopra and Jeevan Kang and the series is part of the Shakti line of comics published by Virgin Comics.

The plot revolves around a British soldier by the name of James Jenson who finds himself to be the reincarnated form of a powerful sage from the past. The story primarily deals with the lessons that he has to learn so as to remove his connection with his current life.

The comic book series is the first series from the Virgin line to have been confirmed for a film adaptation with Nicolas Cage in the lead role.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Download

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series of novels by J. K. Rowling. Available on Blue Apple Comics: Comicsdownload.com for Download in PDF, DOC, TEXT and MP3 Audio Book formats was released globally in 93 countries, on 21 July 2007, the book has reached the top spot on both the Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble bestseller lists just a few hours after the date of publication was announced on 1 February 2007.

The book chronicles the events directly following Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, leading to the long awaited final struggle between Harry Potter and his allies, and the ever-more-powerful and influential Voldemort and his allies, the Death Eaters.

Retailers such as Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and Borders are reporting that more orders have been placed for this book than for any other in history, and American publisher Scholastic announced an unprecedented initial print run of 12 million copies.

Borders reported that its 1,200 stores worldwide sold 1.2 million copies on the book's first day of sales. This is the highest single day sales of any title ever in Borders history. In comparison, the sixth book sold 850,000 copies on its first day.

Rowling spent seventeen years writing the seven Harry Potter books. In a 2000 interview through Scholastic, her American publisher, Rowling stated that there is not a university after Hogwarts and "I won't say "never," but I have no plans to write an eighth book." However, she states in her website that she might write an eighth book for charity.

When asked about writing other books similar to Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, she has said that she might consider doing this with proceeds donated to charity, as was the case with those two books. Another suggestion is an encyclopedia-style tome containing information that never made it into the series, also for charity

Transformers Movie Adaptation & Prequel (1986 & 2007)

Transformers is a 2007 live action film directed by Michael Bay and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, based on the Transformers franchise. Producers Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto developed the film, and Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman wrote the script, aiming for a realistic interpretation of the characters. Though not a Transformers fan, Bay was convinced by Spielberg to direct, and he created an intricate design aesthetic for the computer-generated robots. General Motors and the United States military lent their support during filming, to keep the budget under $150 million. Armed with an enormous marketing campaign including comics, toys and tie-in deals, Transformers opened in the United States on July 2, 2007, and broke the box office record for the highest-grossing opening week for a non-sequel. The story of Peter Parker, Spider-Man, and Harry Osborn, the Green Goblin, is one of friendship, suspicion, betrayal and ultimately death. In "Spider-Man 3," the silver screen Harry Osborn will play out a deadly game that has transpired in the comics over decades. Audiences will be witnesses to a microcosm of one of the most tragic stories in Spider-Man's long history.
Debuting in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #31, Harry was one of the truest friends Peter ever had. Coming off a bad beginning, Harry swallowed his initial dislike of Peter and after Harry's father Norman was hospitalized, the two boys became fast friends. Unfortunately, Norman Osborn was also the heinous criminal the Green Goblin and bad blood ran in the family. The young men became college roommates in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #46, and Harry started down a slippery slope of drugs and depression.

Spider-Man's struggle against the Green Goblin, secretly his friend's father, reached a fatal pinnacle in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #122. Hunting down the Goblin for murdering his girlfriend Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man battled the insane tycoon-turned-villain and the Goblin died by his own treachery--not unlike how the Goblin met his demise in the first Spider-Man film. Sadly, Harry witnessed his father's death and forever after blamed the Wallcrawler for causing it. His heart heavy, his mind jumbled and his feelings of rivalry with Peter heightened, Harry stumbled upon his roommate's secret identity in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #135-#136. Taking up the mantle of the Green Goblin, the two former friends clashed bitterly and violently, with Spider-Man the victor. Harry's mind was no longer simply confused, but now shattered along with his memory.

Seeking psychiatric help, Harry then started down the long road to recovery. Through the treatments and therapy, he lost his knowledge of being the Goblin along with Peter's identity as Spider-Man. His friends welcomed him back into the fold and Harry began dating an old acquaintance from high school, Liz Allen. He and Liz eventually married and they settled down to begin a family. That calm was broken by the appearance of a Green Goblin-wannabe called the Hobgoblin, and Harry used original Goblin weaponry to defeat the newcomer in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #312. At that point, he began to imagine he could become New York City's newest crimefighter.

Spider-Man strongly dissuaded his old friend from a career as a costumed hero, but Harry's emotional state was once again in flux and he suffered a serious mental breakdown. Obtaining a version of his father's Green Goblin strength formula, the young Osborn submerged himself in the persona of the wicked criminal and inaugurated a campaign of fear and threats against Peter. His memory of Spider-Man's identity returned and old thoughts of jealousy and vengeance for his father's death weighed heavily on his mind, Harry trapped the Webslinger and set explosives to blow both himself and his foe to kingdom come. The sight of his and Liz's son brought Harry to lucidity and he moved everyone to safety at the last minute. Though his good nature won out in the end, the Goblin formula raged within Harry's body, and in SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #200 Harry Osborn, friend of Peter Parker and son of the original Green Goblin, was dead.

Even after his death, Harry's legacy of unstable and unrequited hatred towards Peter continued. While alive and as the Goblin, he had created robots of Peter's long-dead parents to torment his former friend and even devised a plan for a duplicate of himself to kidnap his own son and expose him to the virulent Goblin formula. Spider-Man was victorious against all these attacks but still felt that there was absolutely no closure with Harry before his death. Through the odd circumstances of SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #14, Peter encountered a hologram of Harry that was programmed with all of his memories and life experiences. Through that, Peter found peace with the memory of his friend.

Followers of the Spider-Man film cycle have seen the progression of Harry Osborn over two films as his thoughts of revenge towards Spider-Man mutate into dangerous actions in "Spider-Man 3." A new Goblin will swoop down upon Peter Parker, as our hero is at an important crossroads in his life, setting up an emotional challenge that will tax him to his limits. 300 by Frank Miller

300 is a historically-inspired comic book by Frank Miller. The comic loosely depicts the Battle of Thermopylae & the events leading up to it from the perspective of Leonidas I, king of Sparta. 300 was particularly inspired by the 1962 film The 300 Spartans.

Miller's art style for this project was similar to his Sin City work. 300 was initially published as a monthly five-issue comic book series by Dark Horse Comics, the first issue published in May 1998. The issues were titled Honor, Duty, Glory, Combat and Victory.

The series won three Eisner Awards in 1999:

Plot of 300
A group of Persian messengers arrive at Sparta, demanding Sparta's submission to King Xerxes. Outraged and offended at their behavior, King Leonidas kicks the messengers into a pit and resolves to fight the Persians. Leonidas gathers 300 of his best soldiers to fight the Persians. As they march north, they are joined by a group of Arcadians and other Greeks. Arriving at the narrow cliffs of Thermopylae (or "Hot Gates"), in sight of the Persian army, they build a wall to halt the Persians' advance. Ephialtes, a hunchbacked Spartan, approaches Leonidas, requesting to redeem his father's name in battle, and warning him about a secret goat path that the Persians could use to surround them. Leonidas turns him away as his inability to properly hold the shield would create a weak spot in the phalanx.

The Spartans fight off numerous waves of Persian attackers, including their elite group of the Immortals, using the phalanx formation and hand to hand combat. The 300 defend their position for a number of days and suffer few losses. Xerxes, impressed, approaches Leonidas directly and promises him wealth and power in exchange for his surrender. The Spartan king declines, saying that he will instead make the "God King" bleed. Shortly thereafter, an embittered Ephialtes reveals the goat path to Xerxes, and is promised a lucrative and powerful position in the Persian Empire.

Meanwhile, the Greeks realize that Ephialtes has betrayed them, and the Arcadians decide to retreat in the face of certain death. The Spartans refuse to follow. Leonidas orders only one man, Dilios, to retreat and use his rhetorical gifts to tell the story of the 300 to the Spartan people, ensuring that they be remembered. Dilios reluctantly leaves with the Arcadians. At Sparta, Queen Gorgo appears in front of the council, to persuade the Spartan council to send reinforcements to Leonidas, the Council unites against Persia.

At Thermopylae, the 300 are surrounded by the Persian troops. Xerxes' spokesman demands their surrender, saying that Leonidas may keep his title as King of Sparta and become warlord of all Greece, answering only to Xerxes. In defiance, Leonidas throws his spear at Xerxes, and cuts his cheek, thus delivering on his promise to "make the 'God King' bleed." Xerxes signals for his archers to fire. The remaining Spartans are killed in the hail of arrows, with Leonidas dying last. Dilios eventually returns to Sparta and inspires the council with the bravery of the 300. Dilios concludes that the Persian army, who defeated a mere 300 Spartans only after great difficulty, must now be terrified to face 10,000 Spartans and 30,000 Greeks from the other city-states. The roused Greek host heads off to fight the Persian army, beginning the Battle of Plataea.

X-Files (Complete)

The X-Files is an American television series created by Chris Carter. The show first aired on FOX on September 10, 1993, and ended after a nine-year run on May 19, 2002. The X-Files tapped into and inspired a plethora of conspiracy theories, paranoia about the U.S. government, and belief in the existence of extraterrestrial life.

In the series, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson play FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, tasked with investigating the titular "X-Files." These cases, marginalized by the FBI, often involve paranormal phenomena. The show's popularity peaked in the mid-to-late '90s, even inspiring a hit movie in 1998.

Farnk Miller's RoboCop

Frank Miller's RoboCop is comic book mini-series published by Avatar Press. The series was personally overseen by Miller based on his own unused screenplay for the film RoboCop 2 and notes of unused ideas for RoboCop 3. It was written by Steven Grant with artwork was done by Juan Jose Ryp.

The series was composed of nine issues that were published from August 2003 through February 2006 under Avatar's Pulsar Press line.

Frank Miller's long-unseen follow-up to the 1987 blockbuster film finally sees the light of day. The machine that was born as Alex Murphy continues his war against the criminals of Old Detroit. But his human soul still haunts him with a sympathetic conscience and memories of his past life.

When his creators and benefactors of the Omni Consumer Products (OCP) corporation get wind of this, they deem RoboCop obsolete. Now our hero and his resilient partner, Officer Anne Lewis, are pitted not only against the scum of the streets, but the new OCP model that shows no mercy.
